Fraternal twins were born on San Diego Kaiser Permanente Zion Medical Center last New Years' eve. Peculiarly, they have different birthdays, not that they were born on different days but they were also born on different years.
According to ABC 10, the first child was a baby girl, born at 11:59 p.m. of Dec. 31, 2015, and they named her Jaelyn Valencia. The younger one was a boy named after his father Luis Valencia, born on Jan. 1, 2016, at 12:01 a.m.
Maribel, 22, the proud mother of the twins and works as a cashier on San Diego International Airport, was not expected to give birth until the end of January but the blessing was given to them a minute before the year ends and first thing when the new year started. As posted on NBC 7 San Diego, both twins were born 18.5 inches long. Her baby girl weighed 4 pounds and 15 ounces while her baby boy weighed 5 pounds and 9 ounces.
The Valencia couple planned to go to Los Angeles, Calif. to spend the New Year's eve there together with Isabella, their three-year-old daughter. The plan was not accomplished since Mrs. Valencia was called by the doctor and underwent labor for one of the twins was discovered to be in a beech position. The family ended up spending their new year in the hospital.
Luis, the father of the twins who works as a diesel mechanic for the United States Navy, verbalized that he is happy having the best of both worlds and considered his newborn children to be the family's New Year blessing. He is looking forward to a back to back birthday bashes for his children.
The Valencia Twins were also claimed to be the last baby of 2015 and the first baby for 2016 of San Diego Hospital.
