Mega company Samsung, famous for their numerous hi-tech gadgets, has recently revealed numerous features of their newest phone line Samsung S7 and Samsung S7 edge, the successor to the successful S6 line.

Rumors have been swirling around the media tech groups and reviewers with predictions of what the S7 and S7 edge holds and, finally, Samsung has released information about the phone line.

Samsung S7 and S7 edge are reported to have an almost the same display screen as the previous line except of the S7 edge, which has .4 inch larger, curve display screen. Samsung has stick to the same screen resolution for the S7 and S7 edge.

One new concept that the Samsung S7 lines feature is the always on display (AOD) functionality that enables the user a see-able screen.

For battery life Samsung made sure that the S7 and S7 edge had more power. Samsung amped the capacity to 3000 mAh and 3600 mAh, which is a big difference from the S6 and S6+ edge line that housed a 2000 mAh and 2600 mAh respectively.

Samsung S7 and S7 edge is powered internally by Samsung's very own Exynos 8 Octa 8890, a system-on-a-chip partially based on the ARM reference design. Although it was rumored that Samsung was to use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820, it seems that only certain regions were to get S7 lines with Snapdragon.

In a bold move by Samsung, the company decided to go for a 12 megapixel camera for the S7 and S7 edge, which is lower than the 16 megapixel camera of the S6 line. This is because the camera is coupled with an f/1.7 lens aperture, which is said to be better in low light situations.

The front camera of the S7 and S7 edge is the same megapixels as the S6 line, which is 5 megapixels.

Samsung also decidedly put a microSD slot on the S7 and S7 edge capable of carrying cards over 200 GB.

The Samsung S7 and S7 edge is reported to be launched this February 2016.
