Several fans are excited for the upcoming film "Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice," which has been boasting a stellar line-up of stars included and some superb action sequences to watch out for. However, despite the hype the upcoming film has been posting since it was confirmed, there are still a few who are quite hesitant with it as a whole.
As a matter of fact, even Superman (Henry Cavill) himself had recently opened up about the issues people had with 2013's "Man Of Steel" film. "The reception of my first Superman movie, from what I've read, was fairly mixed. ... There's no intentional move, I don't think, in Batman v. Superman to address any issues that people had with Man of Steel," the actor said. "It's just a continuation of that storyline and they continue to develop that world and introduce new character."
Cinema Blend suggested that Cavill knows he has to step up and prove that he is something to watch out for to make "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" better received that his first lead film. The actor has received his fair share of criticisms for his version of Superman or Clark Kent as it was poorly received by several fans of the original films and comics.
"Christopher Reeve's adaptation of Kent made him extremely clumsy, bumbling, and weak. Simply: he was the opposite of Superman. Cavill; however, went for a more subtle approach. Rather than highlight how weak Clark was, he simply tried to make him invisible," the entertainment news outlet stated in its report. "Of course, this is difficult to do when you're 6'1, handsome, and lacking any body fat."
Since "Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice" will do nothing to repair the fans' problems with "Man of Steel," it is now safe to speculate that the same Clark Kent will be present in the Zack Snyder adventure film. Moreover, fans are now excited to see the dark side of Superman since recent trailers suggest that he will be more of a villain.
To recall, the most-recent sneak peek video released featured the fury in the eyes of Bruce Wayne/Batman (Ben Affleck) on doing his own business of putting Superman down. Other cast members who will be joining the "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" film include Amy Adams, who plays as Superman's love interest and reported Lois Lane, and Diane Lane, who portrays the role of Superman's adoptive mother Martha Kent.
