Jennifer Lawrence confirmed that Amy Schumer has finished writing the first draft of their highly anticipated comedy film. Described as "funny, dirty and real," the actress hinted that it may end up getting an R- rating.
Speaking to BBC 6 Music, Lawrence shared that they had a lot of fun writing the script. She said that there were moments when they would just laugh out loud with the material they came up with. Turns out, she and Schumer just connected and ideas poured effortlessly.
"The Hunger Games" star added that they never once fought, no matter how stressful it was writing the script. After seeing "Trainwreck" in July, Lawrence knew that she just had to get in touch with Schumer. She, however, never thought that she will be writing the script with her.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lawrence said that it had been a breeze working with Schumer. She explained that they had very similar taste when it comes to comedy and they were both very straightforward.
"We both have very similar senses of humor, obviously and aren't afraid, which is a good and bad thing, because I don't know what our movie will be rated," she shared.
Lawrence and Schumer will reportedly be playing sisters in the film. The "Trainwreck" actress is a flight attendant who has her life together while Lawrence plays a "mess."
Multiple reports speculate that the movie will most likely be "Trainwreck" meets Tina Fey and Amy Poehler's "Sister" - something that Lawrence has never done before.
Although the film is still in its early stages, Lawrence admitted that she could not wait for her fans to see the finish product.
"I am going to try and fit that somewhere into my ghoulish schedule. We're going to try to do that pretty soon," she shared.
