Shannon Miller's family is now complete.
According to several media reports, the Olympic gymnastic champion and her husband John Falconetti welcomed their second child, a baby girl Tuesday. The couple have named their bundle of joy, Sterling Diane Falconetti, according to People magazine.
"Shannon and John are thrilled to welcome Sterling into the world," the new mom's rep told the magazine. "Mom and baby are healthy and doing well." The new addition to the family weighed 6 pounds and 15 ounces at birth.
Miller, excited with her new mommy status, took to Twitter to share her happiness:
"So in love with Sterling asleep in my arms (Named after her great great grandpa) What an amazing blessing. Can't wait for her to meet Rocco."
After legally separating from her first husband, Christopher B. Phillips in 2006, Miller announced her engagement with Falconetti. The couple tied the knot in 2008. The 35-year-old gold medal gymnast confirmed expecting a second child with Falconetti in January 2013. In March, she confirmed she was going to have a baby girl on "The Doctors." The new addition joins the couple's 3-year-old son, Rocco, who wanted to have a baby sister.
"I think Rocco wants a girl. It'll be the first girl grandchild on my side of the family," she said during the show.
Miller's second pregnancy comes two years after she underwent a surgery to remove a malignant tumor in the ovary. She waited almost one year after the treatment to fulfil her dream of having a second child.
Miller, who started learning gymnastics at the age of five, has won a total of 16 World Championships and Olympic medals between 1991 and 1996.
