Kate Middleton Might Have Kept Actual Due Date A Secret

The Duchess of Cambridge may give birth at least 10 days before her actual due date, reported the Daily Telegraph.

The newspaper reported that the duchess, following in the footsteps of late mother-in-law Princess Diana, has kept the actual delivery date a secret. The expected date of arrival of the royal baby might be July 3, if the real due date is considered.

It was previously announced by the royal couple that the due date is July 12. "It's around mid-July, but babies have their own agenda," Kate told reporters in April.

The situation was similar during Princess Diana's first pregnancy in 1982. She announced that her delivery date would be July 1, but Prince William was born on June 21, ten days ahead of the actual due date.

Kate's pregnancy has witnessed much media hype and the royals have been extremely secretive about it. In fact, she did not want to reveal her pregnancy too soon but her frequent visits to hospital due to morning sickness grabbed media attention and royals were forced to make the announcement.

The Daily Mail reported that royal sources have confirmed that Kate will be opting for a natural birth.

Meanwhile, TV and radio presenter Beverly Turner, wife of Olympic gold medalist James Cracknell, has requested the duchess to breastfeed the royal baby and encourage other women to do the same.

"Celebrity is depressingly powerful in dictating trends. As if there wasn't enough pressure on her already, what we really need is The Duchess of Cambridge to get her Royal orbs out to feed our future monarch. And to be applauded - not seethed at - for doing so," Beverly wrote in Telegraph.
