“Grimm” season 5 episode 7, titled “Eve of Destruction,” airs January 22. The latest spoilers revealed that the mid-season premiere will focus on Nick (David Giuntoli) and Adalind’s (Claire Coffee) relationship. Is there a brewing romance between the former enemies?
According to the International Business Times, NBC has recently revealed promotional photos for the coming episode. By the looks of it, it seems like Nick and Adalind were able to put their differences aside for the sake of their child.
The photo showed the couple engaged in deep conversation. The outlet speculated that it was taken before a steamy kiss took place. Given that Nick and Adalind recently moved into a new home, there is a high possibility that they started to develop feelings for each other.
Now that Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) is back as Eve, multiple reports suggest that a love is in the horizon. Speaking to TV Line, "Grimm" co-creators James Kouf and David Greenwalt, however, insisted that Juliette is not back from the dead. They explained that although Tulloch's character came back, she is definitely not the same person anymore. Eve may have Juliette's memories but her feelings towards Nick has been completely wiped out.
Greenwalt hinted that a big scene between Nick and Juliette is coming in episode 7, something that fans of the NBC series should not miss.
The showrunner also shared that Nick and Adalind's story is going to be an entirely different plotline. Although Juliette/Eve's return may affect the dynamics of their relationship, the impact is not monumental. He hinted that fans will get to see more of how the couple coped with having a child in future "Grimm" season 5 episodes.
"[The Nick-Adalind relationship] is going to have a life of its own with out the Juliette/Eve [aspect], because they have a kid," Greenwalt explained.
"But there's a lot of other complicated things that are going on that will determine how that relationship works out," Kouf added.
