One of this generation's toughest women, Ronda Rousey, is about to host the comedy sketch show "Saturday Night Live" on January 23.
Rousey used to hold the title of being UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion, until Holly Holm won the last time. However, it is not a complete defeat for Rousey because she has gained a lot of followers and supporters from fans all over the world.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rousey will be introducing Selena Gomez on the show as the musical guest. It is note worthy to mention that this is actually Gomez's first time to be on the said show.
It was reported that this is also going to be Rousey's first TV appearance once again after her fight with Holm in Melbourne, Australia. It was noticed that a lot has changed when it comes to the attitude of Rousey since her defeat. It would appear that she is more humble this time after her defeat and no longer holding the prestigious title.
Another publication confirmed this change in her attitude saying she is not much of an attention seeker these days. She doesn't even want to be seen on cameras that she would hide from them whenever she sees one. Hiding from the paparazzi was not her style but that changed, according to Cinemablend.
It is going to be a fun time for Rousey and everybody is hoping that she won't mess this up. The last time an athlete did this job, he totally messed up by missing a lot of queues and lines and that's none other than professional swimmer Michael Phelps. Charles Barkley, on the other hand, is one athlete who did great hosting the show and the crowd loved him so much, he got to do the gig more than once.
Check out Rousey on January 23, Saturday at 11 pm via NBC.
