'Fantastic Four 2' Release Date, Cast & News Update: Sequel Canceled? Actor Says, 'I Think It's Off The Schedule'

The Marvel universe compromises half of the most popular super heroes in the entire comic and movie world; this includes the famous "Avengers," the "Guardians of the Galaxy," "X-Men," "Spiderman," "Deadpool" and the "Fantastic Four." Often times, some of the characters have crossovers in another Marvel super heroes' life except the "Fantastic Four."

The "Fantastic Four" reboot movie, which has been rightfully produced and owned by Fox, was released over two years ago and, still, it is the worst-reviewed Marvel movie ever. Fans agree with the critics that the "Fantastic Four" film was a disaster.

Even during the production of "Fantastic Fours," there have been numerous hiccups, such as the fight between the film's director Josh Trank and Hollywood actor Miles Teller, who played Reed Richards in the movie. The difficulties between Trank and Teller lead the production of "Fantastic Four" to be constricted and awkward.

"Fantastic Four" became a flop in the box office and just confirming the fact that the "Fantastic Four" characters although still well loved by man Marvel fans has passed its glory days. Talks of having a sequel for the failed movie was brewing even before it was released in cinema's, the confidence of the Fox studio that the film will be a hit was a little too much and now it seems like a sequel to the "Fantastic Four" has been scraped off.

Fox made it official that there will be no sequel to "Fantastic Four" by removing "Fantastic Four 2" from its schedule entirely. Fox is now working with Marvel again because Marvel has had plans to include the villains of "Fantastic Four" in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" film.

"Fantastic Four" actor Tim Blake Nelson also shared his thoughts about a sequel during a promotion of his film "Anesthesia." "I think it's off the schedule now. I don't think they're making one, but I'm not sure," Nelson said.
