Jessica Simpson's baby boy is finally here. The 32-year-old singer and fiancé Eric Johnson welcomed their second child Sunday, June 30.
The couple has named their bundle of joy, Ace Knute Johnson, in honor of the football player's Swedish paternal grandfather Knute Johnson, according to Us Weekly.
"Ace Knute (pronounced Ka-nute) Johnson has arrived! Mom and baby are doing great," Simpson's rep told the magazine. "Jessica, Eric and Maxwell are thrilled to welcome the new addition to their family."
The couple, who started dating in May 2010, has a one-year-old daughter named Maxwell Drew Johnson. According to media reports, the baby boy was born via a C-section at Cedras-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles where Simpson had also given birth to her daughter May 1, 2012.
Simpson's father Joe, who legally ended his 34 years of married life with wife Tina in September 2012, took to Twitter to share his happiness:
"Very blessed to celebrate the birth of my new grandson," he wrote.
Speculation about Simpson's second pregnancy first hit the news in November. However, the expecting actress kept mum on the topic until she confirmed the news on Christmas day 2012. Simpson indirectly mentioned her second pregnancy by posting an adorable photo of her infant daughter Maxwell sitting on a beach, with the words "Big Sis" written on the sand.
In March 2013, during a chat with Jimmy Kimmel, Simpson revealed that she is expecting a baby boy. The singer celebrated her baby shower at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles, with friends and family members April 14.
Simpson, who reportedly wanted to tie the knot with Johnson last December, is now planning to get married as early as possible.
"Jessica said, 'Let's have this wedding already before I get pregnant with another one!'" a source told Us Weekly of Simpson telling at her baby shower.
