It's official! Tracy Morgan is the proud dad of a little girl.
The new addition to the family, Maven Sonae Morgan, is the fourth child of Morgan, first one with his fiancée Megan Wollover.
The actor confirmed the news on twitter.
"Its A GIRL!!!!!" he wrote, July 1, while sharing his excitement with his 2,591,044 followers on Twitter.
The little girl weighed 7 pounds and 3 ounces at birth, according to People magazine.
Morgan has three sons with his ex-wife Sabrina - Tracy, Malcom and Gitrid. The couple, who knew each other from high school and were married since 1985, ended their 23-year marriage in 2009. In September 2011, Morgan confirmed his engagement with model Wollover. The couple announced the pregnancy in January.
"I am over the moon excited and just want a happy and healthy baby and a safe delivery for Megan," the actor told People magazine at the time.
The news comes as a fulfillment of the comedian's wish to have a daughter after three sons.
"You know what happiness is? Happiness is a simple thing, man," he told the Rolling Stone, while revealing his wish to have a baby girl. "It's having something to look forward to."
Morgan, who started using comedy as a technique to escape from bullies at school, made an entry into the TV world with HBO's sitcom "Martin". The 44-year-old shot to fame with his role in NBC's TV show "30 Rock". His role won him the Emmy in 2009 for "Outstanding Supporting Actor" in a comedy series.
