2K's NBA video game franchise is one of the best selling game franchises in history. When the new "NBA 2K16" game and its locker codes were released right in time for the holiday season, gamers were clamouring to get their hands on them.
Locker codes allow gamers to unlock exclusive items in the game. These include, but are not limited to, "additional accessories, optional gameplay features and the opportunity to unlock famous players." With these codes, 2K16 players will be able to play as all-time greats such as Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Karl Malone, Shaquille O'Neil, and Isaiah Thomas. There are also codes for special versions of active players such as Lebron James, Stephen Curry, and Paul George.
2K Sports have also released codes for special shoes and limited edition jerseys to play with in-game. A locker code for Season Swishes was also made available by the popular video game developer. The codes for these add-ons along with others are available on various websites such as Latinos Post and Ecumenical News.
Although a lot of codes were released during the holidays, there is no news of codes being released this January. However, there are rumours that after this month's "#DubTheVote" event, where players get to vote for their preferred cover athlete for the game, 2K Sports will release a new batch of locker codes.
"It'll be a safe bet to wait for calendar events, and possibly famous basketball superstar birthdays for new content," according to The Bit Bag. There are hopes that new locker codes and exclusive content will be released for holidays such as Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year.
New patches have also been released for "NBA 2K16." These recent fixes are quite large in size, but remove a lot of the bugs that have plagued the game since its release.
