Several fans cannot wait to have a glimpse with upcoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus phones already, especially now that its release date is just few months away. Reportedly to be launched on September 2016, new reports now claimed that Apple will showcase a new line of smartphones with wireless headphones.
9To5Mac reported that Apple has been working very hard to materialize its freshest feature: Bluetooth-enabled set of earphones. The tech news outlet revealed that the Cupertino, California-based company's prototype has been in the works already and might be launched along with the new flagship this forthcoming fall.
With the help of Beats Electronics which Apple already acquired in 2014, the earphones will be called Airpods. The tech giant has reportedly registered that trademark already.
The concept of these Airpods will be the same as the ones from Motorola and Bragi. Complete with different ear sleeve sizes, it is reported to have no ports for charging purposes.
Airpods will come with a carrying case that doubles as its rechargeable battery. Too, this case is said to crank up the earphones when it is not in use.
However, fans are not encouraged to expect too much since this Airpods are to be sold separately. As a matter of fact, it is planned to be a premium alternative to the current corded Earpods by Apple.
At the moment, the Airpods is still on the testing phase and is currently experiencing delays due to battery issues. Hence, with its separate batteries for power supply and wireless chips requirements, it can be expected that these wireless earphones will have a short battery life.
In terms of price, MacWorld reported that the new Apple Airpod is expected to be sold at around $200 to $300. Presumably, Apple will launch it this coming fall together with iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
Meanwhile, Apple has also been reported to ditch the 3.5mm jack for Lightning connector. While some are positive with this change, Forbes reported that there is a petition filed by activists against the decision.
"Apple is about to rip off every one of its customers. Again," one activist held. Up to this writing, no official word from Apple regarding the issue has been released yet.
