Busy Philipps is a mom again.
The 34-year-old actress of the "Cougar Town" fame welcomed her second child, a baby girl with husband Marc Silverstein, Tuesday, July 2.
The actress announced the news on twitter, by posting a picture of her newborn.
"So this happened..."she wrote, while sharing a photo of her adorable daughter.
The new addition to the family weighed 8.5 pounds, People magazine reported.
"Everyone is healthy and happy," the new mom's rep said to the magazine.
The couple has a four-year-old daughter named Birdie Leigh.
Philipps, well-known for her supporting roles on the television series "Freaks and Geeks", tied the knot with screenwriter Silverstein in 2007. Their first daughter, Birdie was born in 2008.
Philipps had announced her second pregnancy in December, in a similar way. "So this happened," the overjoyed actress, wrote after posting a picture of a positive pregnancy test stick on Twitter.
Little Birdie must be over the moon to be a big sister, as she was already impatiently waiting to meet her little sister.
"She can't wait to be a big sister," Philipps told Us Weekly. "She's been asking for at least a year: When's her baby going to come?"
Philipps made an entry into the film world with the 2000 movie, "The Smokers". Apart from that, she has appeared in many movies including "White Chicks", "Made of Honor" and "He's Just Not That Into You".
