'Thor 3: Ragnarok' Release Date & Trailer: Cate Blanchett To Play A Role The Film? Thor Shares Adventure With Hulk

Actress Cate Blanchett has always been known to play in mainstream and big studio films and it is no surprise that she would take interest on the upcoming third installment of "Thor: Ragnarok."

Rumors about her being part of the film have been going around but, according to IGN, Blanchett is not confirmed as a cast of it. Although she is not going to be seen in this movie, the actress voiced out the fact that she would love to play a role in it.

In an interview with USA Today during the Palm Springs International Film Festival Gala, the actress said she doesn't exactly know what to. "After every film, you think: 'Ok, I'm done, I'm done now, that's enough," she added.

There is a possibility that there is still a room for Blanchett for the film since the studio has not released any actor playing for a female villain just yet. Amora, the Enchantress, or Hela, the Goddess of Death, are two of the characters that the talented actress could play in the movie given that she has that stern look perfect for an antagonist. She also has that deceiving charm that makes her role for either of the two characters be fitted for her.

Fans of the actress are hoping she would also be a part of it, as much as she does. When asked about the issue, she directly said she would love to really be a part of it.

"Thor" has been a successful movie franchise ever since its first installment came out. The third installment of this series won't be launched until Nov. 3, 2017, still with Chris Hemsworth who will play the critically acclaimed role of Thor. For this series, he will be sharing the adventure with the Hulk, as played by Mark Ruffalo.
