Several fans are now excited to take a glimpse of the most-anticipated comeback of the "Sherlock" TV series. The most-recent Christmas special of the show ended primarily where Season 3 left off which hinted Jim Moriarty (Andrew Scott) and Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) flying off to dig into the chaos he has left behind.
Despite the fact that fans were treated with "The Abominable Bride" episode on Christmas, there were still few who were disappointed with it especially when they were not able to get more with Lestrade (Rupert Graves) as a Victorian inspector. Luckily, Collider had a chance to talk to the actor during one of his promotional gigs for the upcoming drama series "The Family" on ABC.
Speaking to Allison Kenne, Graves shared that "Sherlock" Season 4 will start filming in Spring 2016. However, he emphasized that there was no script yet.
"I think definitely Lestrade has got the hots for Molly. So maybe they'll develop that," Graves said when asked about his expectations for his character and his connection with Molly (Louise Brealey). "We don't know what happens until we see the scripts, and that could literally be a couple of weeks before you film."
With this, fans of the Lestrade-Molly loveteam will definitely have something to look forward to. However, it has not been confirmed yet if anything would actually happen between the two of them.
Meanwhile, Graves also shared about how his character as Lestrade would fit in with the cops of the complicated and twisted "Family." "He would be on the telephone to Sherlock right away. He can't operate that well without Holmes," he said. The actor also added of Arthur Conan Doyle's original character that "he's not on the same level as Sherlock, but he's the best of that lot, and I sort of approach him like that."
To recall, both showrunner Steven Moffat and Graves divulged few months ago that the relationship of Lestrade with Sherlock will likely change especially when it was revealed that Sherlock is not dead. The "Death at a Funeral" actor even said that "it will deepen their love."
