Mom Helps Teen Daughter Win US$1 Million in Powerball Lottery; Will She Be Able To Help Daughter Win The $1.3 Billion Jackpot This Wednesday?

A family's life has changed when a mom helped her teen daughter win $1 million playing Powerball lottery. The lucky teen winner is 19-year-old Imari Shelton who purchased her lottery ticket at a gas station in 800 Washington Avenue, Holland. The teen said that she was not sure how to play the Powerball lottery so her mom helped her out in buying five Powerball Easy Pick plays.

Shelton spoke about winning the big prize an interview with Michigan Lottery Connect, "When I woke up on Sunday, my mom told me that someone who had bought a Powerball ticket at the Speedway had won $1 million," said Shelton. "As soon as I heard that, I grabbed my ticket and started checking the numbers. When I saw I matched five numbers, I started shaking."

The teen winner also talked about how she plans to use the US$1 million Powerball lottery prize money she won with the help of her mother. "I am a working student and eventually want to earn a law degree and become a lawyer," said Shelton. "This money will help make that dream a reality."

Many financial professionals say that playing the lottery is not worth it because of the very low chances of winning, not getting the full jackpot, and splitting the money due to taxes, according to Forbes. There were no jackpot-winning tickets sold for last Saturday and the jackpot for Wednesday night as of now is a staggering $1.3 billion, which is the largest jackpot in the history of lottery.

After being helped by her mom win $1 million in Prizeball lottery, Shelton already has plans to win the $1.3 billion Powerball lottery jackpot prize on Wednesday night. Yahoo Parenting reports that the "teen's chances of winning is 1 in 292.2 million."

She's totally one lucky girl -- now a millionaire.
