Pop singer Kevin Jonas is ready to be a dad.
The 25-year-old musician-actor confirmed expecting his first child with wife Danielle on Twitter.
"It's true @daniellejonas is pregnant!" the dad-to-be wrote, July 9.
"Can't even imagine how excited we are I can't wait to share this with my best friend. I love you baby."
Jonas later opened up about his impending fatherhood during a chat with E! News', Giuliana Rancic.
"I was overjoyed," the singer said, referring to his latest baby status, told Rancic via Skype. "It's been the most exciting thing in my life so far. I'm excited and I'm nervous."
The news comes within one year of the actor revealing that he and his former hairdresser wife were experiencing high pressure from their families and close acquaintances to have a baby.
"People are like, 'All right guys, what's your plan? When are you going to have those grandkids?'" People magazine quoted Jonas, as saying in a clip from the couple's reality show "Married to Jonas," which was scheduled to be premiered on E! Aug. 19, 2012."I'm starting to feel that pressure a little bit."
"My mom wants a grandkid bad. It's getting boring now," supporting her husband's statement, Danielle, added.
However, the couple revealed that the hectic schedule was posing a little difficulty.
"We have to decide on where he is going to be at with the tour and there are just different situations that we may have to go through than other people. So we do talk about it a lot," Daily Mail quoted Danielle explaining the situation in a video posted on the official website of People magazine.
Jonas first met Danielle on a family vacation in The Bahamas in 2007. The couple tied the knot in Dec. 2009.
Jonas, along with his young brothers Joe and Nick have a pop rock band named "Jonas Brothers." The singer, who has also tried his hand at acting, appeared in People magazine's sexiest Men Alive list in 2008.
