This 2016, food spices are not the only ones making the trends - so are girl spices because the Spice Girls are crossing the 20-year milestone. Being an all-important marker, the games of will they-wont they have begun.
"Posh Spice" Vicky Beckham is quick to clarify that, if the scales tip toward "They Will," she is not going to be joining "Scary Spice" Mel B., "Sporty Spice" Mel C., "Ginger Spice" Geri Halliwell and "Baby Spice" Emma Bunton.
According to TMZ, the reluctant "Posh Spice" remains respectful of her time with her old group but has moved on to solely focus on her family and her business in fashion. Daily Star reports that Halliwell, now Horner, allegedly confirmed the group's reunion and "Posh Spice's" exclusion. In contrast to Victoria Beckham, Mel B. is all for a celebration tour saying that to miss marking their 20th year would be plain rudeness.
However, while Victoria Beckham may seem to be placing as much distance between her and her Spice Girls days, one artist completely, continually and unabashedly embraces the Spice Girls and their music. Us Weekly reports that "Hello" sensation Adele was recently seen singing her lungs out in a "Spice Girls Carpool Karaoke" to the girls' 1996 hit "Wannabe" on "The Late Late Show with James Corden."
Adele is a self-professed fan of the girls since they took the world by storm in 1994. The "Rolling in the Deep" singer even had Spice Girls-themed parties.
"It was a huge moment in my life when they came out. It was girl power, and it was these five ordinary girls who did so well and got out," Adele told Corden. "It was a really important period of my life."
Some years back, the Grammy winner told Us Weekly that the band inspired has as a musician. Adele also said that, in fact, she's the biggest fan of Halliwell.
Beckham was quite happy about Adele's Spice Girls "tribute" and posted about this on Instagram.
