Several fans are now waiting for the release of the much-awaited "Wonder Woman" film. Recently, one of the its lead actor has shared new details about the World War I set of the upcoming film.
Chris Pine shared his excitement to Toronto Sun after learning the time period of the film as it is not the usual territory movies apt to explore. The "Star Trek" star also shared about his character Steve Trevor and his take on the portrayal of the role.
"It's a period we don't see often; it's usually World War II. Our costume design is incredible. We have scenes with, like, 500 extras all in period dress," Chris told Toronto Sun in an interview. "I'd never been on a film with extras casting as beautifully done as it is here. It highlights a really important point. When background casting is done well, it can make or break a scene. I've got people in deep background that have entire lives. It's awesome, it's actual make-believe land."
As for his portrayal as Steve Trevor, Chris said that the "Wonder Woman" character is charming, wordly and a "cynical realist." For starters, Steve is a co-worker of Wonder Woman who fell in love with her. Moreover, the "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit" star also said that fans of Wonder Woman will enjoy "deep, interesting and morally relevant themes." Wonder Woman will hit theaters on June 23, 2017.
Meanwhile, Parent Herald previously reported that Chris was rumored to star in the "Green Lantern" film reboot called "Green Lantern Corps." However, to the dismay of many, he divulged that he was never offered to play the titular role and said that only time knows if the production will consider him to give justice to the role.
Aside from that, there were also reports which claimed that Chris chose the "Wonder Woman" film over portraying "Green Lantern" since leading another franchise might dull both "Star Trek" and "Green Lantern" series.
