Fans are very excited to experience what iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 have to offer. The hype for this much-anticipated smartphones boosted when it was announced that both of these devices will be launched this year. However, before you decide what to buy, here are some of the things you have to know about the latest line of phones from Apple and Samsung.
iPhone 7 & iPhone 7 Plus
Apple is set to launch these new phones on September 2016. While the release date is only few months away, fans are now excited to try its rumored wireless headphone feature.
Parent Herald previously reported that the tech giant has been working very hard to materialize its newest feature: Bluetooth-enabled set of earphones. The said earphones will soon be called Airpods, which is made with the help of Beats Electronics. Also, it was confirmed that Apple has already registered the trademark.
Aside from ditching the 3.5mm headphone hack standard, it was also reported that iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be sleeker, slimmer and thinned than its predecessors.
"Apple uses newer technology, and opens more possibilities for sound," 9to5 Mac Senior Editor Mark Gurman stated in a report. "It also future-proofs Apple for a time when phones are even thinner than headphone jacks and gives them room for larger batteries and better camera systems. Anything Apple can remove from the phone is a benefit for them."
As for the price, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to have the same price range with iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
Samsung Galaxy S7
After it was reported that iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be water resistant, reports claiming that Samsung will also have the same feature spread like wildfire. Forbes shared that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 is adopting Galaxy S5's IP67 dust and water-resistant feature.
Aside from that, S7 is expected to offer a 5.5-inch curved display with a 1440x2650 quad HD resolution on AMOLED screen. Also, an Always-On Display (AOD) feature will also be added to make the screen more "glanceable."
As for its battery life, S7 is expected to have a 3000 mAh super powered battery with a wireless charging option. It is expected to house a 12-megapixels rear camera with f/1.7 lens and a 5-megapixel front-facing selfie camera. Moreover, Samsung is expected to come up with an in-house camera technology called "BRITECELL" that will help users to capture better photos in low light settings.
As for the price, Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to be worth $700 and $750 during its initial launch. It is said to be available in 3 colors - white, gold and black.
