'High School Musical' Cast To Reunite In Disney Channel For 10th Year Anniversary; Who's Coming and Who's Not? ---- Details Here

Disney Channel has created some of the most-iconic teen movies in movie history and there is no denying that a lot of grown-ups nowadays still look back at those movies and reminisce about long gone years. One of the greatest original Disney Channel movie hit was "High School Musical" and, because it was such a big movie, Disney added two more installments.

Now, news has spread that the cast of Disney's "High School Musical" will be getting back together for a ten year anniversary special. Disney, who plans to telecast the movie on this coming week, announced that as part of the telecast the casts will reunite for the showing.

Confirmed to attend the special telecast of "High School Musical" will be Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman, while Zac Efron will appear in a pre-taped message to the "High School Musical" fans.

The original "High School Musical" premiered on Disney Channel in Jan. 20, 2006 garnering 7.7 million viewers in the United States. This was Disney Channel's highest-rating movie at that time. Due to the unbelievable success of the "High School Musical," two more movies were put out by Disney Channel, which also became hits. During the year "High School Musical" was released, Gabriela and Troy, the names of the two main characters in the movie, released an album that went to number 1.

Ten years later, the movie continues to delight audiences around the globe, not just for its memorable song and dance numbers, but for its universal themes that continue to resonate with fans everywhere - express yourself, believe in yourself, and always follow your dreams," he added.

The special telecast of "High School Musical" will be on January 20 on Disney Channel.
