Virgin Galactic has announced that its staff, pilots and astronauts will wear in their future space projects and missions some suits designed in collaboration with the Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto and Adidas Y3 division.

Virgin Galactic is a division of SpaceX, founded in the year 2004. Their goal is to develop a project for sending into space tourists and cargos.

Virgin Galactic declared in a recent press release that the apparel joint venture will provide a "complete range of garments" for commercial space operations. According to the company, Y3, the partnership between Yohji Yamamoto and Adidas, provides the a particular approach to style and the technical known-how that will allow using special techniques and advanced fabrics necessary in the creation of space suits.

Y3 has released a video on YouTube in order to give the public a better idea about the space apparel partnership, according to the website stgist.com. The video, using the Spaceport America as the backdrop, is showing some prototype designs.
