Two weeks into 2016, Avalanche Studios' action-adventure game "Just Cause 3" remains unable to topple consistent chart-topper "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3." "Just Casue 3" has, however, climbed up to number six at the closing of week two of 2016. This is from a previous number eight spot for "Just Cause 3" in the first week of the UK sales chart.
Meanwhile, "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" by developer Treyarch, which is considered the best-selling game of 2015, earned $550 million in sales within three days of release. The "Call of Duty" games reached the 250 million mark of units sold after the release of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3." According to Scott Lowe, Community Manager for Activision, the first DLC of the game for Playstation 4 called "Awakening" will be released on February 2. Roll out for other platforms will follow subsequently.
According to GfK Chart-Track, the musical chairs have moved with "Grand Theft Auto V" making an impressive climb to number two. "FIFA 16" switched places with "Star Wars Battlefront." The latter moved from spot number three and went down to number four.
Popularly dubbed by The Express as the thinking man's "Call of Duty," "Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6: Siege" has taken up spot number five in the sales charts. Smooth stealth tactics and tight firefights along with attack and defense options among other things seem to have brought much into making the game a unique experience of sorts.
Former spot five occupier "Fallout 4" fell out of the spot and went all the way to number eight, previously occupied by "Just Cause 3." "Lego Jurassic World" secured its post at number 9. "Minecraft: Xbox Edition," which Wii edition of "Minecraft: Story Mode" is coming out within the week, is now at number 10.
The only game that stayed constant from week one is "WWE 2K16." "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" and "Battlefield 4" are officially out of club 10 drastically falling down to spots 24 and 25, respectively.
