Couple's Interdependence Still Exists Even After One Dies, New Study Reveals

There were researches published even before about how couples are linked towards each other. This means that one is affected by the other one's health and lifestyle and according to a report done by Medical News Today, it is called "interdependence." A new study done by Kyle Bourassa and his team involves questioning interdependence, as to whether it still exists after a spouse's death. It turns out that it still does.

On the subject of interdependence, it won't be shocking that couples get to share influences regarding their health. The exchange of energy from the two would explain a lot for this matter, including the kind of environment that they are both sharing. This could mean that there is a huge chance of one acquiring their spouse's disease such as diabetes and other health risks.

What could be surprising is the fact that the research team discovered, as to how couples could still have a connection with their spouse in terms of their well being even after the other person dies. The study made use of 2,566 couples where both spouses are living, and 546 couples where one had already passed. The result came out and they concluded that there is not much difference between the two with regards to the quality of interdependence, whether both couples are still alive or the other one is no longer living.

Science20 saying synchrony is a real thing with couples also shared this research. The study also proves that it doesn't matter whether the couple has long been married or how old they are, their link towards each other with regards to their health and well-being becomes binding even after the other one dies.

This is something to ponder on for those who are thinking of getting married, as well as for those who have been married for a while now.
