'The Division' Release Date & News Update: Brooklyn Excluded From The Game's Launch [VIDEO]

The previous versions of the popular shooter action game "The Division" included various sections of Brooklyn. However, according to several reports, the new game version that is waited for with maximum excitement by the fans will not showcase Brooklyn.

Game Spot is reporting that Ubisoft is going to skip the trendy neighborhood at launch. For the game release, Ubisoft is focusing instead on Midtown Manhattan. Behind their reasons is the new storyline of the game.

Creative director Magnus Jansen declared for The Examiner that Ubisoft has chosen Midtown Manhattan for Tom Clancy's "The Division" because of the way the pandemic has happened and because of the one-to-one recreation. Since everyone tried to get out and everything has been hit, there is no more traffic, no more gasoline in the cars and no more resources.

This makes from Midtown Manhattan itself a "huge open world" that will provide enough action ground for the players, according to Jansen. The fans of the game can expect a deep level of detail on the main map of the Midtown Manhattan.

According to Jansen, the Dark Zones will also change completely once you hit the level cap. Brand new challenges and new content will be added in the Dark Zones.

Since DLC will be available for the game, it is still a possibility that the Staten Island, Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn will be added post-launch, however Ubisoft did not confirmed this.

According to previous reports, for people who preordered the game on Xbox One, the closed beta of "The Division" will begin on January 28. On January 29, the beta version will also become available for PC and PS4 players. For all platforms, the pre-release play period will end on January 31.

The full release of the game had multiple delays. However, now is confirmed that The Division is scheduled for March 8 for a full release across PC, PS4 and Xbox One, according to Gear Nuke.
