"Person of Interest" will see the return of Harold Finch's (Michael Emerson) ex fiancé, Grace, IGN reported on the show's latest casting news. "True Blood" alum Carrie Preston will reprise her role in the series and her character is reportedly set to appear in "an episode near the end."
While details about the return of Finch's former fiancé is definitely something that fans and viewers are excited to see in "POI" Season 5, they were recently left reassured when CBS executives finally broke their silence and announced the release of the show's upcoming season.
According to the aforementioned publication, "Person of Interest" Season 5 is set to air sometime this spring. Aside from this, CBS president Glenn Geller revealed that while a lot of viewers are expecting that this will be the final season, nothing has been set in stone yet.
"No, we haven't aired the show yet. I'm not sure," he said.
This is in contrast with executive producer J. J. Abrams' statements about the show heading towards its finale on TV. Fans, however, remain optimistic about the show's future.
Meanwhile, International Business Times previously reported that series creator Jonathan Nolan promised fans that they can expect great episodes this coming season.
"We're going to make 13 kick*ss episodes, and drop the microphone," Nolan said.
