Talia Castellano Dies: 13-Year-Old CoverGirl Succumbs to Cancer 'Please Lift Her Beautiful Soul, Her Beautiful Wings to Heaven'

Talia Joy Castellano, the 13-year-old girl famous for her YouTube make-up tutorials has died after a six-year battle with cancer.

The young girl was also an honorary face of CoverGirl.

A message was posted on Castellano's Facebook page Tuesday.

"It is with a heavy heart that we share with all of you that Talia has earned her wings at 11:22am. Please lift her beautiful soul, her beautiful wings to heaven."

The post went on to say, "We will miss you more than you will ever know baby girl."

According to the Daily Mail, on Valentine's Day of 2007, Castellano was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma cancer, a tumor that develops from nerve tissue in infants and children. She was only 7-years-old.

After undergoing chemotherapy, surgery and radiation, Castellano was cancer-free for one year. Then, in September 2008, the disease spread to a small lymph node near her heart. While she continued to receive treatments for four years, the cancer continued to return to other parts of her body.

Although doctors suggested Castellano receive a bone marrow treatment, she chose not to pursue surgery and instead enjoy the time she had left.

Castellano was previously a guest on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," where she spoke about her battle with cancer. She also reaveled to DeGeneres that she was recently diagnosed with pre-leukemia.

"This year I met a very special girl, and today we lost her," DeGeneres wrote on Twitter. "Sending my heart to Talia's family."

CoverGirl also reached out via social media.

"Talia Castellano was the meaning of a true COVERGIRL," the company posted. "Please join me in sending love and honoring her memory."
