Several fans are now excited to for the major comeback of "Sherlock." Now, new reports claimed that some angles of the much-anticipated series will come to a close on its fourth season.
Recent reports suggested that Molly will end up with Lestrade instead of being with Sherlock. Since Season 1, Molly (Louise Brealey) has been very verbal about her feelings for Sherlock. However, in "Sherlock" Season 4, she will find another Sherlock-like character in the person of Lestrade.
The speculations was backed up by the statements of Rupert Grave, who plays Lestrade in the popular TV series. "I think definitely Lestrade has got the hots for Molly. So maybe they'll develop that. We don't know what happens until we see the scripts, and that could literally be a couple of weeks before you film," the actor told Collider in an interview. "He's not on the same level as Sherlock, but he's the best of that lot, and I sort of approach him like that," he added.
Aside from the budding Molly-Lestrade romance, another thing fans should watch out for the brand-new "Sherlock" Season 4 is the major comeback of Moriarty. Independent reported that several images of Sherlock's great adversary popped up on the television screen in a train in Kyiv, Ukraine.
"Did you miss me?" said the photo which featured the face of Moriarty (Andrew Scott). The snap was said to be a reference to "Sherlock" Season 3's ending when images of Sherlock's rival with the same line appeared after it was first thought that he murdered himself in the Season 2 finale.
Fans could not help but speculate that Moriarty is going to be back in "Sherlock Season 4 after the photo surfaced. As a matter of fact, some even speculated that this is just a marketing stint of BBC to build up the hype of the forthcoming comeback of the TV series.
However, Наш Киев, an Ukranian news outlet, claimed that hackers were the ones responsible for Moriarty's images in the Kyiv Metro. At the moment, the case is still under investigation.
Meanwhile, another remarkable hint that Moriarty is definitely coming back is one of the lines uttered by Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) during "The Abominable Bride" special. He was recalled saying "I never said he was alive. I said he was back," which could be a reference to his foe.
