"Street Fighter V" development by Capcom is well under way, thanks to partial funding from Sony. This naturally means that while the new "Street Fighter" is going to be available on Playstation 4 and PC platforms, Xbox One users will have to sit this one out.
The buzz, according to HardCore Gamer is good still especially for online space, which will be a cross-platform, multiple player, lag-free promise by Capcom. The developer's much-touted "Kagemusha" proprietary netcode is responsible for this happy event.
"Street Fighter V" will also appoint a unique V-Skill to each character. When the V-Gauge is filled by using a V-Skill, the V-Reversals and V-Triggers become available. Both techniques endow the character with exceptional power but will also deplete the V-Gauge. Still, a perfectly executed boosted V-Skill using either of these techniques can turn the game around completely.
Modified favorites Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and M. Bison will also be joined by returning Birdie, Charlie Nash, Rainbow Mika and Karin Kanzuki. The roster of characters will continue to expand with the DLCs that will be released not long after the game's official release.
Users will also meet four new characters in this version: Shadaloo grand master F.A.N.G., Laura Matsuda who wields the family's Brazlian Matsuda Jiu-Jitsu, Middle-Eastern fighter Rashid and feral brawler Necalli.
The full roster includes Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, M. Bison, Cammy, Vega, Zangief, Dhalsim, Charlie Nash, Birdie, R. Mika, Karin, Necalli, Rashid, Laura, F.A.N.G., Alex, Guile, Balrog, Ibuki, Juri and Urien.
According to PlayStation LifeStyle, producer Yoshinori Ono spoke with Hadoken on the inclusion of an introduction of the characters and their new arenas.
"The team is aware of the high demand for a story mode. With 'SFV,' at launch, we'll be offering a prologue which introduces players to the characters and the world of 'Street Fighter V,' " Ono explained. "As for the type of large-scale narrative everyone is hoping for, we'll have more details to announce in the very near future, so please stay tuned."
"Having had a chance to play the game, I can say it's shaping up to finally bridge the gap between newcomers and veterans with welcoming new mechanics that are easy to learn, but very difficult to master, " Brett Philips of Independent said of the game.
"Street Fighter V" will be available for Playstation 4 and PC on February 16. Share your thoughts with us in the comment box below.
