Self-Confessed Alcoholic Anne Robinson Will Have A Parenting TV Series

Being an alcoholic and a parent are not a good match. This is why former self-confessed alcoholic Anne Robinson will be making a TV Series on parenting. The series will be featured on BBC and will primarily deal with the many issues that confront modern-day parents. It will also be a forum on relationships between husband and wife, as well as parents and their children.

According to one source as reported by Mirror, "Anne is being very hands on and is expected to explore her own parenting methods while she looks at other people's techniques."

Robinson lost custody of her then two-year old daughter, Emma, to ex-husband Charles Wilson due to alcoholism. She even regarded herself as an unfit mother due to excessive drinking, which started when she was still in her 20s.

Robinson used to host the show Watchdog in the 90s, which was a huge hit. However, according to a separate account of Mirror, the television host quit the show after 15 years as she became sick of huge companies using young people to defend them on television.

In a statement given by Anne regarding her resignation from Watchdog, "Almost every week a company would send someone to defend whatever they had been doing or accused of. Usually they send a youngster and I say to them, 'Are you nervous, are you alright on television?"

The BBC parenting series is still in the pre-production stage and will most likely start airing in the later part of the year. It will be the first show that the 71-year-old will host after having quit Watchdog.

Telegraph reported that while Robinson may not have had an impeccable reputation as a mom, she believes that there is "no such thing as a perfect mother." Her upcoming TV series will certainly help parents who are in the same situation she used to be in.
