One of the most critically-acclaimed and hyped video games "Uncharted" has been a long time favorite for many gamers; not only because of the graphics but because "Uncharted" is one of those video game series that really captures games for its story line. Naughty Dog, game developer of the "Uncharted" series, revealed back then that there will be a 4th installment to the already massive success of "Uncharted."
The "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is the 4th installment of the "Uncharted" series and it will be the last as well. Neil Druckmann, one of the men behind the creation of the "Uncharted" series, was interviewed about how the decided to end it on "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End."
Druckmann revealed that the end of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" will be very hard to follow and that the main character in the game. Nathan Drake is going to be honored with this last installment as greatly as they could possibly make it.
"We've been with this character for so long...," explained Druckmann with what sounds suspiciously like a heavy heart. "He's at the height of his popularity, so it's not a good business decision, but I feel like the best way to honour him is to go out on top, to finish his story."
Sony, who owns all the rights to "Uncharted" as explained by Druckmann, can do whatever they want with it but doing another sequel will be very difficult. Druckmann also said that a prequel is possible but for another character and that truly "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is Nathan Drake's last appearance.
Druckmann also delved on Drake's struggle balancing his family and his passion for adventure. "The heart of this is Nathan Drake's - and maybe an artists' - struggle: how do you balance your relationship with your family and friends, and your passion, the thing you're willing to dedicate your life to and make big sacrifices for?" he said.
"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is set to be released on April 26 in North America, 27th in Europe and 28th in U.K. and will be exclusively carried by PlayStation 4.
