"Wipeout" host Vanessa Lachey and husband Nick Lachey welcomed their first child, a boy, on Wednesday.
The bundle of joy, named Camden John Lachey weighed 8 pounds and 9 ounces. at birth. The couple confirmed the news to People magazine.
"We are incredibly proud to announce the birth of our beautiful baby boy, Camden John Lachey," the couple told People magazine in a statement. "Born today at 6:54 p.m., he came into this world at 8 lbs., 9 oz. and 21 inches. Love has truly been redefined for both of us."
The 31-year-old former Miss Teen USA started dating Lachey after meeting him at the shooting of Lachey's music video "What's Left of Me." Though the couple had a short spilt in 2009, they tied the knot in July, 2011.
The pregnancy news was confirmed during "Live! With Kelly," in March, 2012. It was in June, the couple revealed the gender of the baby.
"It's a Boy. Nick and I are incredibly excited to share the news that we are expecting a baby boy. We can't wait to meet him soon!!!" the "Wipeout" host shared her joy through her website, People magazine reported.
The 38-year-old singer/actor, who wanted to have at least three children, had earlier expressed his willingness to become a perfect father.
"Maybe it's because this is my first, but I'm looking forward to the lack of sleep - everything. I don't care. I'm excited to do the whole process," Lachey told the People one month before his son's arrival. "I'm willing to change diapers."
Lachey's first marriage was with pop star Jessica Simpson in 2002. The couple legally split in 2006.
