Several fans are now waiting to experience the latest installment of the "Kingdom Hearts" game series. The hype for the highly-anticipated video game boosted when game director Tetsuya Nomura spilled some interesting details about the development of the game and whether or not the "Kingdom Hearts" installment is soon coming to an end.
Speaking with Games TM, Nomura talked about the new moves and battle system for "Kingdom Hearts 3." "I feel that going through the different spin-off titles and ideas for battle systems, how the gameplay there works, we kind of learned from that and implemented a new battle system as well as introducing new and unique moves," the game director told the publication.
Aside from that, he also discussed about new elements to be added to the gameplay, including Keyblade Transformation, which is an important part of the combat and story of Sora. Tetsuya also divulged that fans should expect better hardware in the upcoming game sequel.
"There have been many bold additions to Kingdom Hearts III in combat," Tetsuya said during the interview. "And those are only possible because we have access to the better hardware but it hasn't necessarily been things I couldn't have done then. It's more that I learned from the experiments of the spin-offs," he added.
When asked if the "Kingdom Hearts" series is coming to a close very soon, Tetsuya told Famitsu that the game is entering a crucial stage of development along with "Final Fantasy VII Remake."
"KINGDOM HEARTS III and FINAL FANTASY VII Remake have entered a significant time of development, although like every year when it is in the middle of development, PR will release information to the public," Tetsuya stated during the interview with the said publication. "Such as arcades and in regards to copyrights, and with respect to what management is continuing to do, we'll try to make our content more fun."
Meanwhile, Attack of the Fanboy claimed that "Kingdom Hearts 3" might be released in 2017. Up to this writing, no official word from Square Enix was made available yet. However, fans remained hopeful that the reports are true.
