Penelope Cruz's family is complete.
The 39-year-old Spanish beauty and husband, Javier Bardem welcomed their second child, a baby girl, Monday, July 22, Hola.com reported.
According to several reports, the actress gave birth to her second child at the Ruber International hospital in Madrid, shortly after the new Prince of Cambridge was born in London, at local time 4.24 p.m.
The new addition joins her elder brother Leonardo (2).
The latest addition comes two months after Cruz's sister, Monica welcomed her first child, a baby girl named Antonella Cruz Sánchez. Monica had undergone fertility treatment through sperm donated by an anonymous donor, to fulfill her baby dreams.
Cruz's relationship with Spanish actor Bardem started in 2007 and they tied the knot in 2010. The celebrity couple announced second pregnancy early February this year.
The actress, who always maintained a positive attitude towards motherhood, is definitely going to enjoy the company of her little girl.
"From the first second, you feel so much love," Cruz told Vogue in 2011, shortly after welcoming her first child, according to Us Weekly.
"It is a revolutionary experience. That's the best way I can describe it. It transforms you completely, in a second. Nature is very wise and gives you nine months to prepare, but in that moment, when you see that face, you are transformed forever."
Cruz, who made her acting debut at the age of 16, is well known for her lead roles in the films "Vanilla Sky" and "Blow." She is the first Spanish actress to grab an Academy award and a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Apart from acting she has tried her hands at modeling and has modeled for the famous companies like L'Oreal, Ralph Lauren and Mango.
