"My guess is [Season 5] is the final season," says Abrams to TV Line. Abrams has revealed that the fifth season of the show has been written with a satisfying conclusion just in case the fifth season finale also proves to be the series finale. If the show does get renewed or is picked up by another network, he says that there are more good stories to tell.
However, fans of the show may find solace in knowing that there have been a lot of rumors regarding "Person of Interest" that turned out to be false. This includes the rumors of a delayed summer released date for the CBS show.
An official promo has been released for the upcoming season of "Person of Interest." The promo shows that Finch and his team have successfully rebooted the machine, but it is still lagging. Its facial recognition feature is also malfunctioning. At the end of the promo clip, the Machine eventually shut down.
International Business Times also reports that Grace Hendricks will return in the show's fifth season. There have been reports stating that Carrie Preston will reprise her role as Hendricks after an absence of two seasons.
