Android users can now enjoy up to 50% discount each time they do some in-app purchasing from Google Play Store starting today. This offer is only available on selected games and there are about 57 of them that gamers could enjoy.
Android Headlines reported some of the games that this discount can be applied are Mobile Strike, The Sims and Jurassic World -- just to name a few. Google is also known for making this discount available every now and then for certain apps and it is looking like their strategy is working to gain more customers.
These apps can be downloaded for free, but their features would sometimes require users to purchase stuff like weapons and lives to maintain their good stats in the game. Hence, the company coined the term, "Freemium," for these kinds of apps.
The things they pay in maintaining the app usually costs a lot for gamers, which is why this discount works so well since paying only half the price would really help them save a lot.
In an article written by Phone Arena, they featured some of the games that apply this discount creating a picture of how much a person could cut down on in-app purchasing. A good example would be the Laura Croft: Relic Run, which in-app materials could cost up to $49.99. And since this discount came out, a gamer would only pay $25, which gives you more value to your money.
There is no specific date announced yet as to when this promo is going to end. TechnoBuffalo suggests to download your favorite game now if you see them included in this category.
If you want to know more about the games and apps that are part of this discount, go to the "Apps & Games" section of Google Play and watch out for the banner that says, "Get Off To A Great Start." You will find a link below that ad and just click on it for more information.
