Mi 5 detailed rumors will soon be ended as Xiaomi's latest smartphone will finally launch in about a month.
Xiaomi's senior vice president, Liwan Jiang, stated Thursday that the company will unveil the Mi 5 on February 24 at an event. The event is expected to start from 2 p.m., local time, to 4 p.m.
For 2 to 4 hours or more just for one phone indicates that the event isn't actually about the latest smartphone. Xiaomi will also tackle a lot and not only the Mi 5 itself at its Spring Conference.
Taking into consideration to how many months have passed by without any trailer, a month of waiting is insignificant. However, Xiaomi will give information about logistics for the Spring Conference on Feb. 24. Moreover, Jiang will also release some information about the latest smartphone on 26th day of this month.
"Feb. 24, 2015 millet new spring conference, that is, we look forward to the # 5 # millet, particularly ticket sales and the rules the next Tuesday," Jiang said in a post that is translated from China's Weibo.
The Mi 5 will have a metal body, according to speculations. Also, it is said that a fingerprint scanner embedded in its home button.
As per rumors, it features a 5.2-inch QHD display with a resolution expected to be 1,440 x 2,560 or 1,080 x 1,920. The flagship phone's storage space in is 4 GB of RAM 64 GB while other might include 3 GB of RAM and a long-term storage space of 32 GB.
The device has 16 MP camera on its rear and for the front camera is 13 MP. Mi 5 is expected to have a 3,030 mAh capacity as for battery.
There have been rumors saying that the company had been waiting for Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 but Xiaomi hasn't specified why the Mi 5 took long to arrive. Xiaomi investor and chipmaker Qualcomm will be on available for the Spring Conference next month.
