Actress Penelope Cruz has named her little bundle of joy Luna Encinas Cruz.
Cruz and her husband Javier Bardem welcomed their daughter June 22 at the Ruber International hospital in Madrid, Spain. The couple has a two-year-old son named Leonardo.
In Spanish the name Luna means moon while Bardem's paternal surname Encinas means live oak.
The 39-year-old actress' sister Monica welcomed her first child, a baby girl named Antonella Cruz Sánchez. Monica underwent fertility treatment through sperm donated by an anonymous donor, to fulfill her baby dreams.
After her first child Cruz said motherhood changed her completely. "From the first second, you feel so much love. It is a revolutionary experience. That's the best way I can describe it. It transforms you completely, in a second. Nature is very wise and gives you nine months to prepare, but in that moment, when you see that face, you are transformed forever."
Cruz and 44-year-old Bardem started dating in 2007 and they got married in 2010. They announced about the second pregnancy in February.
Previously, she dated Tom Cruise for three years and they were seen together in the movie Vanilla Sky. However, their relationship ended in January 2004. She filed a lawsuit against Australian magazine New Idea for defamation after the magazine published an article about her relationship with Cruise. Cruz's said that "the proceedings state that the article contains a number of false and defamatory statements concerning Ms. Cruz" and she is seeking "substantial damages and is confident that legal proceedings will vindicate her reputation."
