5 Easy Morning Routines To Improve Your Life

A few weeks into 2016, most of us have discarded well meant resolutions. But fear not, its never too late to begin. If the start of the day is good, then the rest of the day is bound to be good as well, right?

Here are 5 simple steps anyone can try for an improved life.

1. Be an Early Bird

Wake up with rising sun if possible. You'll gain some extra time compared to your usual routine and doubtless be satisfied by the peace and quiet an early morning provides.

2. Drink some Water

First thing in the morning, drink a glass of warm water (with some lemon) is an excellent way to get your body rehydrated. A bit of honey or mint will take the edge off the sourness and also ramp up the nutrition quotient. It will condition your digestive system for the coming meals and lubricate all of your different internal systems.

3. Stretch Yourself

A 5 minute stretching session in the morning is sure to wake your muscles up. If you are a newbie, start off with just some morning stretches until that becomes a habit, and later graduate to yoga and other exercises.

4. Indulge in some Contemplation

Early morning is the best time to clear your mind for a few minutes. Again, you are free to seek out your own personal style of meditation. Choose a position and space that you find comfortable. Play some soothing music or just listen to the silence.

5. Plan Ahead

List three things you really want to get done, and make sure they get completed over the course of the day. Once you establish the habit of getting these priorities done with, you'll be able to build up confidence and take on bigger things. Over time, you'll also come to find that the less important stuff either fades away or gets done on its own.

According to the WHO, you'll have 25,000 adult mornings, that is if you live to the full of the typical human life expectancy. But like in most other things, we tend to mess it up. Rather than checking up on your phone, your email, the weather, the social media etc., try these simple steps and the difference to your life will be noticeable.
