It is no question that "Metal Gear" has been on top of the video game pedestal for many years now because it is unquestionably one of the best games to have ever been released. Now, on its 5th installment "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain," there are numerous "Easter eggs" hidden in the video game and fans have scoured and pointed it out.
Hideo Kojima one of the minds behind "Metal Gear" left the video game company "Konami" for undisclosed reason, and before he left he hid some amazing eggs in "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain". So, here are some of the "Easter eggs."
In "Intel Agent Extraction," wherein players have a simple mission to rescue a kidnapped diplomat safely, the diplomat gamers are trying to save in the mission is Kojima himself. During the MGSV prologue "Awakening," a statue was on fire, this statue closely resembles the Mother of Special Forces, "The Boss," which is the mentor of Naked Snake from "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater."
Another "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" "Easter egg" is the radio message that was played repeatedly on "P.T." that is a demo developed by Kojima for the "Silent Hill" video game. The radio message can be heard inside a tent at Guard Post #17 in Africa in "Metal Gear Solid V."
There are also lots of "Nineteen Eighty-Four" references in the game, which is a dystopic book by George Orwell in the video game. Last but not the least is the secret character transformation of Venom Snake to Demon Snake, which happens when he loses more than 50,000 Hero Points.
While Kojima may have left some amazing "Easter eggs" on "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain," Kojima is now busy building his own video game studio and is checking out some high-end technology. Kojima Productions announced not too long ago a partnership with Sony and Kojima himself has just visited Sony's PlayStation VR studio in London.
It might be not too far out to think that Kojima might release a new video game under Kojima Production that uses VR technology.
