Although fans are patiently waiting for any news of "Resident Evil 7," Capcom, the creative media behind the "Resident Evil" series of games revealed that there will be a video game spin-off of "Resident Evil" and that is "Umbrella Corps."
"Umbrella Corps," according to Capcom, is a game that will explore the more action-oriented and less celebrated parts of the "Resident Evil" game franchise.
"Umbrella Corps" is yet to be released by Capcom but it is nearing completion and fans are quite excited about the spin-off video game. "Resident Evil" has become such a big video game franchise as well as movie franchise, wherein Mila Jovovich plays the heroin of the game.
"Resident Evil" spin-off "Umbrella Corps" will still be carried by consoles Microsoft Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. "Umbrella Corps" was announced last year by Capcom during Sony's Tokyo Game Show press conference and ever since then it has built some hype, not as much as news for "Resident Evil 7" though.
"Umbrella Corps" will be launched as a multiplayer game and a single player wherein for the single player they can choose a mode called "The Experiment" that includes 20 missions with different objectives to let the players be more familiar with the Umbrella Corps. The game will feature some fast moving intense battles taking place in historic "Resident Evil" grounds.
Gamers of "Umbrella Corps" will also be able to face off against rival mercenaries, Ganados and Cerberus dogs. As for the other modes and maps of "Umbrella Corps," there is no news of it yet.
"Umbrella Corps" will probably be the opening act for the "Resident Evil 7" but that is unsure of since Capcom has kept mum about "Resident Evil 7." "Umbrella Corps" will be available for digital distribution this May in North America and Europe and will be available in Japan May 12.
