Kate Hudson Talks About Her Son's Birth

Fourteen months have been passed since Kate Hudson welcomed her second son Bringham Hawn. However, the memories of the birth remain in her as fresh as the day itself.

The 33-year-old actress shared each and everything that happened in the labor room for an episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" recently.

Hudson undergoing labor pain for 18 hours and pushing more than four hours described her birth experience as a "Woody Allen" film.

"I called my mom to tell her I'm in the hospital and in labor. And she was like, 'Okay, well, how much time do I have? Because I was going to take a swim,'" People magazine quoted Hudson, talking about her mother, Academy Award-winning actress Goldie Hawn. "She shows up, and I have not eaten in like 10 hours. She shows up with a pizza and Doritos. She's like, 'I'm starving.'"

While her mother watched the whole procedure with her reading glasses, putting on the headlights on them, her fiancé Matthew Bellamy started filming the birth.

"I was like, 'Stay back.' I put up tarps," she said. "I was like, 'Don't go anywhere near the area.' And I see him start to creep. I'm like, 'No, no, get back!' ... Meanwhile, my mom's going [to the doctor], 'That's not normal. It that normal?' It really was a Woody Allen film."

Hudson started dating Bellamy of the English rock band Muse in 2010. The couple confirmed the pregnancy in Jan. 2011 and welcomed their first child in July the same year.

Hudson has a son, Ryder Russell Robinson from her previous marriage.

Recently, the actress had revealed the hard work she underwent after giving birth to her second son. It was her strong determination to work out six hours a day that helped her to regain her pre-pregnancy body.

"I devoted six hours a day to a vigorous workout regime," Hudson told Female First. "I would do 45 or 55 minutes of cardio then an hour of Pilates or yoga, three times a day."

She also kept herself active by biking, Pilates, dancing and running.
