The anticipation for "Sense8" Season 2 is growing with every minute after Netflix renewed the sci-fi drama for another season. Series creator J. Michael Straczynski refuted rumors that the cast and crew have already begun filming for the upcoming season.
Filming for "Sense8" Season 2 has not yet begun, said series creator J. Michael Straczynski via a Twitter post. In the said statement, Straczynski clarified that the posts from the actors and actresses of the series, which seemingly hint that the show has already begun production, is only for the holiday footage.
"It's a separate shoot to grab footage during the holiday, not the start of full-on main unit shooting," he tweeted.
This tweet is in response to Jan Schroeder's question as to whether actor Aml Ameen's tweet is in any way related to "Sense8."
Ameen previously shared via the social media site that Season 2 is about to begin in 10 days, which led to speculations among fans and viewers that filming is about to resume for the series.
Actress Tina Desai also shared via the same site that she will be going to Berlin for "Sense8" Season 2, but it looks like this was also part of the said holiday footage.
While the cast and crew are yet to officially commence production for Season 2, Inquisitr noted on the possibility that the upcoming season of "Sense8" will be released in August.
According to the publication, the series filmed the first season for seven months, which began in June 2014 and ended in Jan. 2015.
Given these figures, the outlet noted that an Aug. 2016 release date completely makes sense, especially because the month held some significance for the series.
The official renewal for "Sense8" Season 2 was announced on Aug. 8 last year, which was the same day as the eight Sensates' birthday.
