Sylvester Stallon kickoff the year right with a Golden Globe award for Best Supporting Actor as he reprised his role as Rocky Balboa in the 2015 movie, "Creed." However, with the critical success of the sports drama film, news emerges that the 69-year-old will not take his role for the upcoming "Expandables 4."
The fourth installment of the action-packed film is already in development and might hit the big screen in 2017, according to Slash Film. But, Terry Crews, one of the flick's stars, said that things could possibly change now as there are rumors swirling that Stallone will choose "Creed 2" over "Expendables 4."
The 47-year-old former footballer believed that the husband of Jennifer Flavin is waiting for better opportunities with the second sequel of Ryan Coogler film. "I have to say, with Sly, I think it looks like he's going to get an Oscar," he said.
"It's a matter of whether he'll be in it. If he got the Golden Globe, he got the Oscar, there's a lot more things that are going to be offered to him, but if Sly is in it, I'm in," Crews added. Stallone played the role of Barney Ross, the leader of the Expendables, and as the movie is known for having a variety of action stars, someone can take over his role.
Hence, there are emerging reports that the former WWE superstar Hulk Hogan would play the character of Stallone, Movie News Guide cited. It was earlier said that the 62-year-old television personality would be the worst villain the "Expendables" fans will ever see.
However, the name of another wrestler, Dwayne Johnson, surfaces and has been said to play the role of the main antagonist. The 43-year-old producer will be the one who wants to take down all the members of the mercenaries group.
