Ronda Rousey is looking forward to a rematch with Holly Holm in spite of the swirling rumors that she's already retiring. However, the 28-year-old star will not be seen inside the ring for the UFC 200 on July 9, as she had a hard time squeezing the event on her busy schedule.
The mixed martial artist slammed all the reports that she won't fight again as she confirmed that she will face the current UFC Bantamweight Champion this year. In fact, she and Dana White, president of the UFC, are already talking the date of the match.
"They haven't told me an exact date or location. It's a decision we're all going to make together," the judoka told TMZ in a brief interview. "I'm kind of waiting to hear from them on what options they're going to give me."
Additionally, Rousey told the 46-year-old businessman that she needed to finish her film commitments first that's why she was removed from UFC 200 card. She's currently filming the remake of "Road House" and landed another movie with Tina Fey, titled "Do Nothing B******."
Hence, according to Fox Sports, her engagements led to speculations that she's not interested in fighting anymore. However, iBTimes added that Rousey is very determined to get back to Holm, as she said, "I need to come back."
"I need to beat this chick. Who knows if I'm going to pop my teeth out or break my jaw or rip my lip open again," she added. "It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact. Maybe I can't do it all before my prime before my body is done. But f*** it, maybe I can."
To recall, Rousey was knocked out on the second round by Holm during UFC 193 on Nov. 15, 2015. In fact, she was then taken to a nearby hospital in Australia for precautionary purposes.
