The moment of truth comes for millions of "Grimm" fans worldwide. As "Grimm Season 5" opens with the midseason premiere this January 29, "Grimm" followers will finally know the fate of "Grimm's" latest love triangle made up of "Grimm" Nick Burkhardt, hexenbiest Adalind Schade and superhexenbiest Juliette 2.0 aka Eve aka ex-fiancee Juliette Silverton. Questions are, however, now surfacing if the "Grimm" TV series will survive to see "Grimm Season 6."
A few concerned parties are slightly on edge over this question: "Will 'Grimm' have a Season 6?" TV Series Finale reports that the series' ratings took a dip in Season 5.
According to The Oregonian, NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt gave a positive but noncommittal statement on Grimm during the Television Critics Association Winter 2016 Press Tour. "We like 'Grimm," Greenblatt said. "It hasn't been renewed yet, but it's a show we love, and it's actually a big international success for our company."
"I think 'Grimm' isn't going anywhere," Greenblatt said further. "Which is a hedging sort of statement. We haven't decided. But we like 'Grimm.'"
Grimm ratings may have taken that downward slope because it airs on Fridays in the US. Especially for the younger audience set, Friday nights are famously low rating nights. "Grimm" picks up viewers via delayed viewing," Greenblatt explained.
"I think the numbers have gone down a little bit because of that. But there are some really great ideas for future shows. 'Grimm"s OK," he added. As Greenblatt pointed out, this is not an assurance in anyway that "Grimm Season 5" will take us to "Grimm Season 6."
Grimm features David Giuntoli of "13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi," Sasha Roiz of "Pompei," Silas Weir Mitchell seen in "The Whole Ten Yards," Bree Turner of "The Ugly Truth," Claire Coffee of "General Hospital," Reggie Lee seen in "The Dark Knight Rises," Bitsie Tulloch seen in "The Artist," and Jacqueline Toboni seen in "Major Crimes."
