Carter Matt explored the chances for renewal or cancellation of The CW series, "The 100" after Season 3. According to the publication, the show has premiered with a great start.
"The 100" Season 3 has received an average rating of 0.6 in the 18-49 demographic, which was higher by a tenth than the show's average ratings in Season 2. However, these figures are still too early to say, as the show is only on its third episode.
The publication further noted that the increase in the ratings of the show may be partly due to the fact that singer Shawn Mendes appeared in a guest role in "The 100" and because of its lead-in, "Legends of Tomorrow."
The outlet also noted on the possibility that "The 100" may experience a decrease in its viewership once "Scandal" returns on The CW on Feb. 11, especially because the latter has been the network's number one show in its timeslot.
A poll was also conducted by the publication to see the fans' reaction towards "The 100" renewal or cancellation odds. 99.04 percent of those who voted were in favor of seeing the drama renewed after Season 3 while 0.96 percent voted no.
