Several fans are now excited to have a glimpse of the "Transformers 5" movie. Followers and critics alike were so thirsty for news about the forthcoming installment as only few information were released.
New reports claimed that Michael Bay was already confirmed to be at helm in making "Transformers 5" by returning to the director's chair. Moreover, it was also established that Mark Wahlberg will be reprising his role of saving the planet from alien attacks.
While fans think that the production of the upcoming fifth "Transformers" installment will kick off early, the film is slated to begin filming in June. However, My Entertainment World claimed that the team behind the much-anticipated movie will start shooting in May. Whether or not this report is true, no one knows at the moment since Paramount has not released any official statement yet despite is efforts to rework and expand the show.
As for the "Transformer 5" plot, it is said to undergo a major shift as the Autobots will be taking the lead role instead of the humans. To recall, humans took the center stage in the past four episodes of the "Transformers" series, which most fans think is wrong if it would be based on the cartoon series. With several complains and suggestions from fans and critics alike, screenwriters have already planned to transfer the spotlight to the robots.
As a matter of fact, head screenwriter of "Transformer 5" Akiva Goldsman hinted that more scenes in the universe should be expected in the upcoming movie. "We will look at the toys, the TV shows, the merchandise, everything that has been generated by Hasbro, from popular to forgotten iterations, and establish a mythological timeline," he said. "It has been designed with a lot of visual help, toys, robots, sketches, and writers and artists. After that super saturation, the writers will figure out not one, but numerous films that will extend the universe."
Moreover, several fans speculated that Ultra Magnus, Red Alert and Override are joining forces with Cyclonus and Autobots while Galvatron will be joined by Blitzwing and Scourge. However, this theory should be taken with a grain of salt as Hasbro and Paramount have not confirmed whether this is true or not.
Up to now, no specific date has yet been confirmed as to when "Transformer 5" will be slated for release. However, previous reports claimed that it is set to be released in 2017.
