'Mr. Robot' Season 2 News And Update: Star Rami Malek Reveals Plot And Premiere Date

Rami Malek, the protagonist of the series "Mr. Robot", has declared that he has always been surprised by how real-world events seem to be anticipated by his show. Now Malek teased the audiences more of what to expect when he returns for "Mr. Robot" season 2.

"Mr. Robot" TV show enjoyed a breakout success and earned numerous awards, including the Best Actor in a Drama Series from the Critics' Choice Awards and Best Drama Series at this year's Golden Globes.

On Friday, Malek revealed during EW's SAG Awards party that in season 2 we can expect certain fallout from what happened in season 1. He added that it is disturbing and sad how "Mr. Robot" series is anticipating real events happening in our society and culture worldwide.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Malek assumes that this kind of real world events anticipation will continue to happen. However, he warned the audiences that it is never possible to exactly predict the future and to certainly estimate how distressful it might be.

The star declared that he hopes that, as much as he can see, the series could anticipate real events happening in the world. Moreover, he hopes that the future would turn toward a better perspective.

The star added that, in preparation for the season 2, he has been speaking more with the show's psychologist as this year the show will introspect more into Mr. Robot's psychosis. According to Vine Report, into the second season, there will be a bit of back story to be tackled and the plot will continue to focus on what Elliot feels when realizing that Mr. Robot is just a fictional character in his mind.

Malek did not start filming for the season 2 yet, but he declared on Friday night that the cast is preparing to gather and read the scenario through the first half of the new season. The filming will start in March and the premiere date is expected this coming June.
